How do you test ignition coils that are 2 spark plugs to a coil?

I have a 1997 chevy lumina that is a V6 that only has 3 ignition coils and i think that one is bad.How do you test ignition coils that are 2 spark plugs to a coil?you can get a spark plug tester-- it looks like a little screw driver. Ask the parts man at the auto store about them. Obd11 scan of the ECM should show a trouble code for it.
