How do I know what spark plugs to buy?

I know that the plugs and wires need to be replaced, like ASAP (car wont start if it's been sittin too long, like all day). But I don't know how to tell which ones to buy. If I go into a store like Canadian Tire will they know which ones I need just by telling them the year and make of my car? Also, if you look in your manual, it will tell you. You can take them out and bring them to the store with you to make sure you get the right one. I recommend Autolite. Make sure that you check the gap (in maunal) with a spark plug gap tool. NGK 's are my personal favorite because they offer four grades. Regular V gap, Platinum, Platinum / iridium and 100% iridium. Price either AC Delco or NAPA ignition wires. Both do a great job. Good luck on your project.
