How much should it cost to have my spark plugs replaced on a 2001 Jeep Wrangler SE? I got quoted $400, and that seems like it might be a bit high, but then again I don't know much about car repairs. Other things in the ignition system that often get changed are the plug wires, distributor cap/rotor (if your Jeep has one), etc.

Then call a few local shops to get a quote for the labor. And then ask them what else they recommend when changing the spark plugs for that model Jeep. How many plugs do you need? I dont know if a Wrangler is a 6 or 8 cylinder but cheap plugs are about $2 each, maybe $5 for upper mid range plugs. So 8 cylinders times $5 would be $45 just for the plugs and the labor will be about $30 on top of that which would make it $75 plus tax. If its a 6 cylinder and you go with the $2 plugs your looking at closer to $50 including labor and tax.
