Where are the spark plugs located on a 2000 Ford Expedition XLT 8 cyclinder?

I've been trying to change the spark plugs on my 00 Expedition for a couple of weeks but I can't find them. I asked at the Ford Dealership but they won't tell me because they want me to pay for a tune up instead. If anyone can tell me the location and how to get to them I would appreciate it greatly!Where are the spark plugs located on a 2000 Ford Expedition XLT 8 cyclinder?There is an individual coil for each cylinder and the spark plugs are located about 5 inches down inside the cylinder heads under each coil. And let's not forget that you need a 7mm 1/4%26quot; drive universal socket that costs 50 bucks to get to the 7 and 8 coils, and triple jointed fingers. It is not an easy job to change plugs on these engines, we usually charge 3 hours labor to change them, it is not a job that the usual vehicle owner can do. I would also suggest you let the dealer change them, they have done many and will save you a lot of pain and time. So if you are looking for that you won't find them. Each spark plug has it own individual coil. they are located on top of the engine on the intake manifold right beside each fuel injector. a ratchet with an extension, a swivel and appropriate spark plug socket should do the trick. Anyway, odds are you need a tune up. Those 8 ignition coils Fail a lot.



You can buy them online at Global for $10 a piece.
