How to find out which spark plugs to buy?

My friend is going to change my spark plugs this weekend and I thought it would be nice to pick some up beforehand. It's a '92 Suburban, but the engine came out of something else and I'm not sure what. Do spark plugs have markings that would tell me what I need? Or is there another way to find out?

someone didn't decide to play the hotter/colder game with the

plugs. It wouldn't hurt if you wrote the engine numbers down and

checked to see what you've got there. The engine numbers are

printed right on the motor. Probably on the passenger side front

of the cylinder head. Now and in the future, you will know exactly

what you've got in there ....



A good set of AC spark plugs will work great in that motor. Forget

about all of the %26quot; specialty type %26quot; plugs and stick with OEM.

How to find out which spark plugs to buy?Just tell them at the parts counter what you need. My personal fav is autolite, and I've found that chevy engines aren't fond of champions. If possible, bring the vehicle with you to the parts store and let them look at the engine, or maybe take a pic of the engine with you.How to find out which spark plugs to buy?HI

the spark plugs have a number stamped on the white Porcelain part. If you can't read it then you would need to know what size motor and what year it is then just go to any parts house and give them that information and they can give you the right plugs of what every type you would like.. Champion, AC, autolite, bosh. ect.
